Copper has glorious roots in Alaska. For many indigenous peoples, copper was used for trade, currency, and adornment sealing it's fate as a desired base metal. With deliciously warm hues, copper is one of my favorite metals to work with. All pieces in the assortments have completely unique attributes- some have rings and chains, some are strictly a hand cut shape, lovingly textured and patterned, antiqued and polished. These all start life as industrial copper flashing and industrial copper wire, a perfect strong base for a good piece of jewelry. These are lightweight and are some of my favorites to wear all day. You'll notice that the ear hooks are copper. They are copper, but they are also coated in a hypoallergenic coating and hold up well to all the vigorous testing I've put them through.
